Palm Oil

This Palm Oil has just arrived from Nephan area in Liberia. It is a very good quality oil. Can be used for cooking, for making soap and is also commonly used to make a range of hair and skin care products.

This Palm Oil is imported from Liberia, West Africa, where it originated from – the region of Nephan. Palm trees are not mass produced in this area, they grow naturally and are harvested by poor families. Just like gum trees are native to Australia and grow almost everywhere, so are Palm trees native to West Africa. This palm oil which we have imported into Australia has helped many poor families – over 20 families have been given a job as a result of this import. This Palm oil is targeted to West African families who use them for cooking and many home based products. This is not Malaysian or Indonesian Palm oil which is mass produced in thousands of acres across Asia where this tree does not naturally belong and where other trees and animals have to give way for the cultivation of this product for pure commercial profit.
